After these things I saw, and behold, a door being opened in heaven. And the voice first] which I heard was as a trumpet speaking with me, saying, Ascend here! and I will show to you what must take place after these – Rev 4:1 ABP+ (Apostolic Bible Polyglot).
We live in interesting times. I believe that the Spirit of the Lord is opening a great door of opportunity into the heavenly places and offering us unprecedented access into the mysteries of God and the technologies of the new age that is about to dawn on all of mankind.
A disclaimer is apt here. The Father does not give suggestions; at least not in the mind of the spiritually educated. His wishes are direct commands, and His suggestions are rigid and uncompromising orders from a heart overflowing with a genuine love for His children. God’s love compels Him to grant us free will even when it is going to hurt us. That is why He always gives us a choice and the implications of our decisions. Then He follows up with a gentle but firm appeal to do the right thing and choose His preference.
I personally believe that the best exercise (in fact the only profitable one) of free will is to freely hand it back to the all-knowing, all-capable and all-loving Father who knows the end from the beginning to the end and everything in between. So, to my mind this royal invitation, is in actuality a royal decree.
The Father says He has things to show us. Here He promises to show John the beloved ‘things to come’. Unto Jeremiah, He promised “marvellous and wondrous things you could never figure out on your own” – Jeremiah 33:3 MSG. The Father has marvellous things to show unto His saints: both from His Word (Psalm 119:18) and by His Spirit from the rest of the Universe that He created and oversees.
What would it look like if Abba decides to remove the veil and share with you the great secrets and mysteries of the Universe? We know the answer: your mind in its current form could not even take it in. You would require a mental and intellectual upgrade.
In the early years of the 20th century Professor George Washington Carver, a Black American born to a slave woman asked God for the secrets of the Universe. God replied that his mind was too small to comprehend that and recommended that he adjusts his request accordingly. Later Carver asked God to show him the secrets embedded in the peanut. Out of that prayer came over three hundred products that God had hidden inside ordinary peanuts. He was later declared the father of the peanut industry.
The Father says He has things to show you and I about what is yet to come. It is true that Jesus discouraged His disciples from focusing on times and seasons but rather on bearing witness to the Risen King with power and effectiveness, yet the Father does not want us to be caught flat footed as the events of the end of days begin to unfold. The father does not want us to be destroyed with the world.
This world and its desires are in the process of passing away, but those who love to do the will of God live forever – 1Jn 2:17 TPT.
But when we are judged, we are being disciplined by the Lord so that we might not be condemned along with the world –1Co 11:32 TLV.
There is a little challenge though, to access the things that Father is willing and able to reveal, unleash or download, He requires that we come up higher or ascend. The Father wants to illuminate us, but illumination demands ascension first.
We must ascend above the pettiness of modern religion; an earth-bound religion that prepares men for success on earth but does nothing for them in terms of eternity and heavenly matters. We must ascend above the works and the lusts of the flesh, the desires of the unregenerated mind and the tyranny of the unconquered self or ego.
We must reject the devil and all his works; we must become avowed enemies of the world and the ways of the world. For those who befriend the world show themselves to be the enemies of God. We must embrace death to the flesh and cheap grace that allows men to be tolerant of garments stained with sin and weights that trip those who desire to walk the narrow way with the Messiah of Israel.
The future belongs to those who will lay down their own agenda and embrace the agenda of the Father. They will be illuminated in time, but most importantly they will shine like stars in the coming Kingdom of our Father and God forever and ever.
